WorkBC Vancouver Northeast is excited to announce the second session of a FREE collaborative workshop series together with the Vancouver Public Library’s Skilled Immigrants Info Centre (SIIC) and MOSAIC’s Centre for Diversity for Ukrainian newcomers transitioning into the Canadian labour market.
Looking to better understand Canadian Workplace Culture? Curious to explore your understandings of diversity and inclusion at work? Learn tips, etiquette, and soft skills to help you thrive in a diverse Canadian workplace!
By getting introduced to the REDI principles (Racial Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) and with the guidance of the MOSAIC Centre for Diversity, our second session on October 13th (2:00 – 4:00pm) aims to build on your understanding of workplace culture and address topics like rights and responsibilities in a BC workplace, awareness about ways in which we include/exclude others in the workplace, and tools to address workplace discrimination. Stay tuned for the topics of our last session. DON’T MISS IT!
This virtual event will be held in English. It will count with on-demand transcription as well as a few Ukrainian-speaking interpreters that will be on the call supporting attendees during interactive pieces of the workshop. Please let us know through the registration form if you would need language support.
