Title: Android Developer
Location: Brampton, ON (Hybrid role)
JD:
• Be responsible for developing and maintaining Android applications
• Work with cross-functional teams in stakeholders for feature development
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall quality of the codebase
• Work in a highly collaborative environment and share learnings
• Follow and maintain coding best practices to ensure the stability and quality of the applications
• Communicate regularly with project stakeholders
• Continuously monitor and improve the performance, scalability, and security of mobile applications.
• Stay up to date and curious with the latest trends and technologies in the mobile development industry.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related discipline
• 7+ years of professional experience developing native Android applications.
• A solid understanding of OOP, MVVM and Android application architecture
• At least 2 years of agile development experience
• At least 2 years of development experience with Kotlin.
• Excellent working knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio and modern Developer Tools
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect to back-end services
• Knowledge of GraphQL APIs (nice to have)
• Experience with working with CI/CD
• Experience with automated testing (nice to have)
• Experience with integrating open source or 3rd party APIs and libraries
• Good understanding of git/development workflow
• Experience in other tech stacks is also beneficial (Web, Kotlin/Java, etc.)
