I wanted to address a term I have heard from some of our groups: "tribal knowledge". This is not an appropriate term to use as it can be disrespectful to indigenous people. Although not everyone who is part of that community will be offended or find anything wrong with these terms, as a rule it is best to avoid terms like this to remain as inclusive as possible and instead use: institutional knowledge or legacy knowledge.
