Please request the family to apply online using the following link: jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/pages/individual-child-grants . The applicant will first need to create a Jumpstart account. Then, in the eligibility section of the application (first tab), please click “yes” to the question “do I have extenuating circumstances?”. In the textbox that appears, explain the unique situation faced (refugee status, new to Canada etc.). Lastly, please upload any documentation which can help verify these claims (e.g., immigration papers). While reviewing the application should there be any questions a Regional Manager will contact.
