This Role, You’ll
The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruitment efforts, new hire orientation and onboarding, employee termination, payroll and benefits, and company policy and procedure adherence. In addition, you will build strong relationships with our company's managers in order to help them with their human resource needs.
● Front-line representative for employee inquiries as it applies to HR programs, policies, and procedures
● Provide guidance, direction, and support in employee inquiries related to the Human Resources Information System (Workday), recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, leaves of absence, payroll, and benefits administration
● Support the rollout of various HR programs and initiatives (i.e. learning and development, engagement survey, performance management, culture, etc.)
● Prepare various colleague letters, including offer letters, job change letters,
and letters of employment
● Data entry into BambooHR in relation to job changes, compensation
changes, leaves of absence, etc.
● Maintain data integrity and accuracy in BambooHR, and work closely with
the BambooHR support team as required
● Responsible for onboarding new employees and compliance with
regulations, procedures, and programs (i.e. systems access, benefits, payroll,
etc.)
● Assist in the resolution of sensitive employee issues, research answers, and
make inquiries about HR-related issues
● Resolve necessary payroll inquiries as required
● Act as the liaison between payroll, benefits, IT, and other support teams
● Assist with research, analysis, and implementation of programs, reports, and
projects as required
● Coordinate and arrange quarterly Productive Shop's Town Halls and other
events as required (Holiday Party, Culture Day, etc.), including booking
venues and organizing catering and technology
● Manage administration for programs such as Milestone Service Awards,
employee recognition, etc.
Qualifications:
● Post-secondary education, preferably in Human Resources
● 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, coordinating departmental
programs and initiatives is a definite asset
● HR Management Certification (working towards or an interest in obtaining) is
considered an asset
● Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
● Exceptional commitment to customer service and the ability to nurture
positive customer relationships
● Strong integrity, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly
sensitive information
● Strong prioritization skills and a high sense of urgency
● Exceptional interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and
problem-solving skills
● Highly organized, strong analytical skills, and superior attention to detail
● Highly motivated and resourceful self-starter, requiring little direction
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook,
Visio)
● Experience working with Human Resources Information Systems,
specifically Workday, is considered an asset
