What you'll be doing: Design, install, and administer on-prem systems and servers Integrate new solutions with existing cloud resources or on-premises infrastructure Provide best practices, standards, training, and general support for both on-prem and cloud environments Configure hardware, peripherals, services, storage, etc. in accordance with security standards, project or operational requirements Design, build, and administer enterprise cloud and hybrid systems infrastructure to meet business requirements for reliability and business recovery Participate in design decisions, including new technology research and prototyping Promote great Kubernetes and AWS platform design and quality Innovate new ideas to evolve our applications and processes Continuously analyze and evaluate our systems, products, and process for potential improvement What we're looking for: Firm 5+ years building, hardening and administering Linux in a production environment 3+ years hands on building Kubernetes environment (AWS EKS a plus) Significant evidence and track-record demonstrating ability to lead high-profile technically challenging projects 3+ years writing and using configuration management systems (Chef, Ansible, Puppet), and Continuous Integration / Delivery, demonstrated believer in “automate everything” Experience using common infrastructure as code tool-sets (CloudFormation, Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager) Experience with Python, YAML, Bash and other technology and scripting languages Experience with AWS tools & products (EC2, VPCs, API Gateway, AWS Console, CLI and SDK) Advanced skills to troubleshoot various systems and technologies Demonstrated initiative to learn, document and teach Have a broad set of technology skills - DEVSECOPS - Development, Security and Operations Operational experience - ready to own the uptime and quality of systems Knowledge of security and performance best practices for on-prem, cloud and hybrid architectures Preferred Experience: Familiarity with F5, Gloo Experience with DHCP, DNS, IPAM, load balancing, and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose server and network related items Experience with RabbitMQ Experience with Tomcat Experience with Active Directory, file systems management Experience with virtualization, VMWare, and data storage systems Experience with TLS and Digital Certificates, and troubleshooting the same Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic or other monitoring tools Familiarity with CloudWatch, Splunk, Logstash or other logging aggregators

What you’ll be doing: Work in a dynamic, agile, team environment developing awesome new applications. Participate in design decisions, including new technology research and prototyping. Collaborate closely with developers, architects, cloud engineers, support teams, security teams, and other stakeholders. Design, Build, Operate and Maintain Tools and Systems that help Developers ship user stories. Innovate new ideas to evolve our applications and processes. Be responsive to operational concerns and the pain points in the developer experience. Continuously analyze and evaluate our systems, products, and processes for potential improvements. Provide on call support on rotation basis during the office hours after office hours when needed. What we’re looking for: At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience. A passion for constantly improving the developer experience. Hands-on experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines leveraging a tool such as Jenkins or GitLab Proficiency with at least one technology language like Java, Javascript/Typescript, Golang or Python Experience with AWS product offerings (e.g. EC2, VPCs, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.) or their equivalent on other cloud providers Experience with Linux Containers and their runtime environments like Kubernetes (esp AWS EKS), AWS ECS, AWS Lambda or equivalent Experience with the AWS Console, CLI and SDK or equivalent on other cloud providers Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation or equivalent. Have a broad set of technology skills - DEVSECOPS - Development, Security and Operations Hands-on experience with Cloud Platforms and Architecture Advanced experience in troubleshooting techniques Knowledge of security and performance best practices for cloud architectures.
