Ось що мені відповіли вчора
Hi, please tell me, I am a citizen of Ukraine, I am going to Calgary under the CUAET program. I’m traveling from the Kyrgyz Republic and I have a Kyrgyz driver’s license with 10 years of driving experience, can I exchange this license for a local Canadian one? What additional documents are needed to exchange a Kyrgyz driver's license for a Canadian driver's license?
Good Morning,
Ukrainian driver licences are eligible for exchanges without testing, however Kyrgyzstan licences will be required to do full testing.
G1 and G2 are Ontario licences, in Alberta these are classified as a Class 7 (theory/learners) and a class 5 (driver licence)
You would need to pass the class 7, once you have passed you provide the out of country driver’s licence, we send it to the government, and about 3 weeks later you can go for a road test for the class 5.
You are able to drive with your out of country licence for 3 months within Alberta, I would suggest if it is not in English that you get it translated.
Thank you,
Chelsea
