The portal experienced significant technical issues on June 11 resulting in long wait times and difficulty submitting applications. We regret the inconvenience and frustration.
Despite significant preparation the portal did not work as expected and we continue to review the matter to ensure it works optimally in the future. As soon as we identified issues, we worked with our IT partner to address.
For future application intakes we encourage you to clear cache of your browser before accessing the AAIP portal. You may also consider cancelling your current partially completed application in the portal before starting a new application.
To cancel your application, open your partially completed application and click on the cancel button at the bottom of the first page (Section A). You can confirm your application was cancelled by returning to the check existing applications section of the portal and confirming the web application status for that application.
In the late afternoon of June 11, we closed the portal to apply some solutions, which enabled us to resume operations on June 12.
If you were unable to complete your application submission during the June application acceptance period you may be able to try again at the next application acceptance period, currently planned for July 9, 2024.
