Good news for newcomers on CUAET with kids in BC schools, colleges and universities.
"Yesterday the BC Government enacted the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel International Student Health Fee (ISHF) Remission Regulation. This means that individuals enrolled in MSP under a study permit with CUAET notations do not have to pay the ISHF ($75 per month). This change is retroactive to March 1, 2022. The Ministry of Finance has been holding the bills while planning of the remission regulation was underway. To those who paid their fees prior to Dec. 19, 2022, the Ministry of Finance will contact these individuals and refund their payments. If anyone wishes to contact the Ministry of Finance directly to discuss their refund, the phone number is 1-877-383-0016."
