Responsibilities:
• Manage Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and File/Print Server configurations.
• Perform network setup, configuration, administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting on both Windows and Linux platforms.
• Configure and manage TCP/IP settings, including gateways, DNS, and DHCP.
• Secure and maintain Wi-Fi networks using appropriate security protocols, such as WPA2.
• Install, test, and troubleshoot network cabling, including twisted pair and fiber optics.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues using tools and techniques for effective troubleshooting.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot virtual machines (VMs) on platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Create, maintain, and test virtual machine backups to ensure system recovery and data integrity.
• Manage virtual machines and cloud resources across platforms such as AWS (EC2), Azure (Virtual Machines), and Google Cloud (Compute Engine).
• Install, configure, and maintain IP cameras to support surveillance systems.
• Set up and maintain access control systems, including locks, readers, and associated software solutions.
• Manage and troubleshoot video surveillance systems, including NVR and DVR devices.
• Automate routine system tasks and processes using PowerShell for Windows environments.
• Develop and implement simple Bash scripts to streamline Linux system administration tasks.
• Ensure optimal system performance, security, and reliability across IT infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and maintain IT systems, while promptly addressing technical issues.
• Maintain detailed and thorough documentation of processes, system changes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist, System Administrator, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux systems.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networks and security protocols.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana) and task management systems (Jira, ServiceNow).
• Basic scripting skills in PowerShell and Bash.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong understanding of IT security and best practices
