SMM Assistant (Content Creator) –
Calgary, AB
We are looking for a creative, motivated, and passionate person about social media, digital
marketing, and brand storytelling for a SMM Assistant (Content Creator) position in our Calgary

and verbal, creativity, and demonstrated skills with video and written content.

Responsibilities:
● Create engaging content (photos, videos, text) for social media that connects with our
audience and reflects our organization's values, mission, and industry niche.
● Craft high-quality, engaging videos (Reels, YouTube) that captivate audiences and
drive viewer retention
● Manage company accounts on Instagram, Facebook and other online platforms
● Develop, implement, and monitor a content plan and strategy
● Gather and analyze content performance and track key metrics
● Capture content on-site and work closely with the team
● Work as part of the marketing team to align the content with the marketing strategy
and campaigns
● Engage with customers: respond to comments and manage direct messages on
Facebook, Instagram, Google
● Manage customer inquiries and objections in a professional and solution focused
manner
● Identify the best platforms and media channels to maximize the impact of our video
content
● Research and stay up-to-date on current CGC trends and best practices
● Stay updated on social media trends, challenges, and features to leverage new
opportunities
● Other duties as assigned by management
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Others
● Minimum one (1) year of experience in digital marketing, social media strategy, and
content creation
● Formal education in communication, marketing, or related field OR significant hands-
on experience with social media
● Must have experience in photography, video shooting, and editing for social media
(Facebook/ Instagram/YouTube)
● Demonstrated proficiency in Canva, CapCut, VN or similar tools
● Strong project, time management, and organizational skills
● Effective written communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to write
with tact, good judgment, and professionalism
● A valid driver’s license and ability to travel for content creation is a must
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive
communications and diffuse potential conflicts
● Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Working Conditions:
Office environment, travel might be required to different job sites for content creation
