you all can meet each other as you live closer to each other. and if I come to Vancouver, I would love to meet some Russian friends from this group.
And anyone coming to visit kelowna, please keep in touch and we can meet up for coffee ☕ 😊.
Also we have a good Russia 🇷🇺 and Ukrainian 🇺🇦 store in kelowna, you will like it 😉

Could you please share your experience living in Kelowna? I am considering this place to move in few years

It's so hard question actually. It depends on your job opportunities and life style. Personally, I Lived in Northern BC in small city called prince George, which is beautiful but so tiny and 7 months freezing, So when I moved to kelowna, I felt a relief 😅, we got anly one or two times snow a year. and it's always plus and warm. I moved here to study at UBC, so i am not sure yet about job opportunities. also for me Vancouver is too big and stressful , but kelowna is medium size, beautiful, and not too busy. we have 2 superstore, 2 wslmart, 1 costco. 1 University UBC, 1 okanagan college. beautiful lake and mountains around the city. Here is a video from downtown on Okanagan lake 😊

Also 2bd apprt worthy 250k - 400k. Housing range $500k to unlimited 🤣.
These is just approximate, but the exact values can be found on market place or realator website

Thanks! Amazing view! What about schools? Is it good for families with kids?. Are there a lot of young people there?
-
Yeah, I see schools everywhere. And yeah I think most of the small cities are more family friendly. Like no high traffic and not super busy city.
I can say it is more like a tourist city (i meet ppl from Ontario, quebc, and Alberta...etc).
They come for the sandy beach ⛱, and lots of farms around to pick up your fruits )

Do you know of any other cities similar to Kelowna? Worth considering?
-
Well, I live in prince George 5 years, and I went to most of the cities in the northern BC (PG, Mackenzie, fort st john, vanderhoof, quesnal, Williams lake , kamloops... etc).
So personally if I rank the best cities in BC, I would say
1- Victoria, 2- kelowna, 3- Vancouver, 4- prince George . . And so on...
It's according to my personal preference... I am from Cairo Egypt, and I hate big cities.
Kelowna for me is similar to Sharm El shakh city in Egypt. So everyone one have different experience.
For example, I visited Moscow, st. Petersburg, volgograd, Grozney. And I liked St. Petersburg and Grozney more than Moscow.
So It's so hard to tell. You should visit first

Thanks for detailed response ! Yes, I am planning to visit.. just researching the short list of cities :)
