Need Volunteers to help build beds for our Ukrainian Children.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) Winnipeg, in partnership with Dufresne Furniture & Appliances, will be holding a bed building event in support of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress of Manitoba on Thursday, September 1st.
Date: Thursday, September 1, 2022
Time: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Location: Parking Lot of Dufresne Furniture and Appliances - 1750 Ellice Avenue
With the help of volunteers and staff from Dufresne Furniture & Appliances and from the newly arrived Ukrainian community,this Bed Building Event will see volunteers sanding, drilling, staining and branding lumber for 40 twin size beds, all to be donated to the Ukrainian Canadian Congress of Manitoba - for distribution to Ukrainian newcomer children.
Twenty (20) volunteers are needed to help with all activities. No skills are necessary. The SHP Winnipeg team will be on hand to train and supervise all volunteers and will provide all materials, tools, and personal protective equipment.
