Прочитав таке. Один канадець телефонував до IRCC. Поки на рівні поста у Фейсбук, але читайте: AN IMPORTANT UPDATE ABOUT MARCH 31 and CUAET VISAS CUAET holders who are already here in Canada will have until March 31, 2024, to extend or adjust their temporary status through these measures, free of charge. After a very long phone call with multiple levels of agents & managers at IRCC, I can confirm that the only thing of any interest in this MARCH 31 DEADLINE is the word FREE. Please do not panic about trying to extend or renew your CUAET. It can still be renewed AFTER MARCH 31, for a 3 year term. BUT -- you will have to pay the renewal fees. It will no longer be free. The MARCH 31 deadline is NOT the last date you can renew. Do not worry about getting a new visa unless you want to avoid the fees, and you have at least 3 years until your passport expires. Otherwise you can do it as the visa comes near expiry. As all of you know, it takes an extensive amount of time to renew your passports. Please check your expiry dates right away. If your passport expires before the expiry date of your CUAET visa, you need to make note of this. AND YOU CAN ONLY RENEW your Ukrainian passport 60 days PRIOR to the expiry. And getting that renewed or extended passport is a very long process. I've even heard that the consulate in Toronto doesnt have any bookings in the near future. HOWEVER - Be sure to get an application in for your renewal of the CUAET visa - WHICH WILL INCLUDE RENEWAL of WORK OR STUDY PERMIT!! and do this at least 90 days before your passport expiry. You can continue to work, study and use your existing CUAET visa until the new one is provided.
