2. Client: Morgan Stanley Role: Intermediate and Senior Java/Scala Developers Location: Montreal Hybrid: Yes, 3-days in office per week Start date: ASAP! Contract Length: 1-year + extensions Pay rate: Dependant on experience (8hr day), + HST Project: The Global Finance Tech group are looking for 30+ developers to work across various projects in their teams. The group need to implement a new Financial Regulation (Basil 3 Endgame), to comply with regulation requirements. This is a high visibility project for the bank and due to being a legal requirement to complete, they’ve got budget approved to start hiring now! This ‘super department’ in Morgan Stanley has great collaboration, with all teams working closely together on data flows, process flows etc. They are a very agile, collaborative group. You’ll be using technologies such as Java 11/17, SQL, Teradata, Jenkins, and other new technologies. Roles: They are looking for Java Developers and Scala Developers. If you’re a Java Developer with an interest in learning and using Scala, then they’ll be happy to train you. They would also hire Full Stack Developers (Java/Angular), or UI Developers (Angular). Requirements: Intermediate or Senior experience in Java 8, 11 or 17. Spring Boot Experience with databases (Good skills in SQL) Good knowledge of Computer Science Fundamentals Passionate problem solver, able to discuss, debate and solve problems with colleagues and peers (A collaborate team player). Good communication skills. Happy to learn and use Scala Nice to have: Scala Teradata Datawarehousing Greenplum Jenkins Angular/TypeScript Interview process: 2-rounds (Technical and project discussions)
