"NATO has selected both the University of Alberta and Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) to be testing sites as part of their NATO - Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) program. As vital research facilities to our provincial ecosystem, they will be doing research on areas such as hydrogen fuel cells, biofuels, Biotechnology, brain-computer interfaces, bionic limb attachments, New materials and fabrics, AI, big data science, nanosatellites and next-gen wireless communications, and more. As U of A professor Andre McDonald said, "it’s a brilliant partnership across the board."
