Тема: 🛑 Stop russian propaganda on Canadian soil! 🛑 🛑 🛑
Текст листа:
As it's scheduled on TIFF next week there is a plan to show this horrible film: tiff.net/events/russians-at-war
This is a direct injection of russian propaganda into Canadian society and you should prevent it. Simply put it is the same as broadcasting a film about how good and brave Nazis were during the year of 1942.
This movie was filmed in cooperation with russian army and government. There is no possibility to go there for any journalist except those who play KGB hand. The filming took place on a sovereign territory of Ukraine that is currently occupied by russian invaders. They torture, rape, and kill innocent people of Ukraine who didn't start this war. If you don't want to play a part in this helping to spread misinformation you should cancel the screening of this movie. Otherwise you support this and giving the money of Canadian taxpayers to the creators of this film is beyond unacceptable. As a Canadian resident and taxpayer I have huge concern about the rightness of such actions!
If your moral compass is looking towards democracy, freedom, and human rights you should take action immediately and cancel this broadcast!
Proofs:
The "journalist" in question is a former RT propagandist and it would not have been possible for her to embed with Russian troops (who had crossed into Ukraine as part of an illegal invasion) without the approval of authorities. She also directly engaged in war crimes denial. www.ucc.ca/2024/09/07/ucc-responds-to-tvo-statement-on-russian-propaganda-film/
Russian director Trofimova is part of RT-Russia Today state media.
She has previously made documentaries in Syria, Iraq and the Democratic Republic of Congo that have been broadcast and financed by Russia’s state-run RT
