Construction Road & Sidewalk Repair Traffic Control/ Flagger Landscape Maintenance Wastewater Operation Training Information: Public Works Technician Training is a 100% government-funded free, group-based full-time program consisting of: 1 week of orientation 9 weeks of virtual and in-person academic training 1 week of short-term certifications 1 week of job support 4 weeks of work experience with local employers. This will prepare participants to work as Public Works Technicians. After completing the program, participants will receive a certificate from a post-secondary institution. During the training, you will get 8 safety certificates and 2 occupational certificates as follows: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Occupational First Aid Level 1 WHMIS Confined Spaces Ladder Safety and Fall Protection Excavation and Shoring Safety Transportation Endorsement Basic Electrical Safety Traffic Control Person (TCP/Flagger) Underground Utilities Locator
