The procedure for recovering a security or pet damage deposit at the end of a tenancy is provided here: Returning Deposits. An informative video regarding deposits can be found here: Tenancy Deposits To obtain your security deposit(s), your responsibilities are to: • Participate in any condition inspections with your landlord. An informative video about conditional inspections can be found here: Condition Inspections. • Provide your landlord with a forwarding address in writing or e-mail, if intent to accept documents by email has been established. Text messages or verbal conversations are not sufficient. You can complete the Tenant's Notice of Forwarding Address for the Return of the Security and/or Pet Damage Deposit (RTB-47) and serve it to your landlord. Keep a copy for your records. • You may also wish to complete the Proof of Service Tenant Forwarding Address for the Return of the Security Deposit and/or Pet Damage Deposit (RTB-41). You can submit this as evidence with your application if you have to file an application for dispute resolution to get our security deposit back. • Your landlord has 15 days from the end of tenancy and 15 days from the date that you provide them with your forwarding address (whichever is later) to (1) return your deposit(s) along with any interest. Please utilize our Calculator Tool to determine how much interest is owed on a security or pet damage deposit; (2) get your written consent to keep it, or (3) apply for dispute resolution seeking a court order to keep all or a portion of the deposit(s). Note: the interest payable on deposits has been 0% from 2009-2022. For 2023, interest payable on deposits is 1.95%. Here's an overview of interest rates used for the past few decades: Lookup deposit interest rates by year • You have up to one year, from the date the tenancy ended, to provide your landlord with your forwarding address in writing otherwise it will automatically be forfeited to the landlord after this timeline has passed. If your landlord does not return the security deposit(s) within 15 days as stated above, you may: • File an Application for Dispute Resolution Online through our website. An informative video on how to apply online can be found here: Online Applications - Easy as 1,2,3 • If you are unable to apply online, you may file in person by completing and submitting a Tenant's Application for Dispute Resolution - Past Tenancy (RTB-12T-PT) to the Residential Tenancy Branch or most Service BC Offices. Please note that applying online is the most efficient method. • More information about the dispute resolution process can be found here: Dispute Resolution. • Digitally upload a copy of RTB-41 and RTB-47 as evidence by visiting the Dispute Access Site and logging in using your Dispute Access Code along with any other supporting documents. • At the hearing, an arbitrator will consider evidence and testimony from both you and your landlord and will make a decision on this matter. In this situation, your landlord may be ordered to pay you double the amount of the deposit(s). Your landlord can only keep some of OR all of your security deposit with your written consent. Please note that you cannot apply for a dispute resolution hearing until the 15-day timeframe that your landlord has to return the deposit has expired. The method of how you served your forwarding address may affect this 15-day time limit. Please utilize our Calculator Tool to determine the last day your landlord is required to return the deposit and therefore the earliest day that you can submit an application for dispute resolution. Please also note that if the requirements for a proper move-in and move-out conditional inspection are not met, then your right to the return of any deposit(s) may be extinguished. не нормально депозит отдают когда вы возвращаете ключи
-
Проверяете это в банке. Если да, минусуете эту сумму с платежа за последний месяц и выписываете ему новый чек
