North Saanich BC V8L 5S8 Job Description: Seasonal Farm Worker Island Lavender is a farm located in North Saanich, British Columbia. The farm is just under 6 acres in size and consists of 3 acres or close to 10,000 lavender plants. The farm also has goats, peacocks, you-pick flowers, and a farm store. The role of seasonal farm worker is ideal for individuals seeking work experience, gardening experience, and information about the farming process (from growing to product sale). Position Duties: The seasonal farm worker position is primarily responsible for several gardening related duties (e.g., weeding, lawn mowing). Additionally, the seasonal farm worker must help in the farm store one day per week. Other duties may include: Cleaning animal enclosures (e.g., goats) Preparing products for sale in the farm store Assisting with farm projects (e.g.,vegetable trellis) Please note that the duties are primarily outdoors and may involve animals; this position may not be suitable for individuals with allergies or a fear of insects.
