I would like to point out to your attention, that as an applicant for the provincial immigration program Alberta Opportunity Stream, I am very disappointed that the IT system of the immigration program can't stand the process for applications to take effect from June 11, 2024. My family spent from midnight till 5 pm on this day taking turns and trying to apply for the immigration program which is our last chance to stay in Canada. We were expecting slow feedback from the program web page assuming the demand for the service, however, the site itself encountered numerous issues which made the application process impossible to accomplish:
• Buttons NEXT or SUBMIT were not accessible and appeared only after 10-15 reboots of the web page.
• The drop-down menu didn't give options to choose from.
• The web page returned us to the first page of the application numerous times.
• Other issues with showing errors 440 and 503 all the time after 5 pm.
This day became a nightmare for our family. We heard that Alberta stands for equality and high standards, the campaign was launched to attract qualified resources that our family provides, and as a result, we got a non-responsive website that didn't allow us within the 17 hours to submit a short application. We believe you can do better and provide us immigrants with a system that would be fair and efficient at the same time.
