The APEGA Executive Committee of the Board of Examiners (the Board) has considered your application for registration as a Licensee. The review process consists of a full evaluation of all your submitted documentations by an academic examiner, experience examiner and the Board.
At this time, the Board has deferred approving your application and requires you to complete the below requirements:
1. Complete the following course-by-course exam assessment:
3 04-BS-2, 8, 9
4 16-Elec-A3, A4, A5, A7
3 98-CS-1, 2, 3
10 Total
2. Meet the minimum requirement in the following competency categories:
Competency Category 1 – Technical Competence
Competency Category 3 – Project and Financial Management
Competency Category 4 – Team Effectiveness
Competency Category 5 – Professionalism
Competency Category 6 – Social, Economic, Environmental and Sustainability
You may choose to improve any key competencies in the above competency categories. The Board wishes to inform you that you have scored below the overall category requirements in the following key competencies: 1.1-1.10, 3.2, 4.1, 5.1, 6.1, 6.3.
3. Obtain 12 months from January 2023 of acceptable Canadian equivalent engineering experience referenced by a P.Eng. who took technical responsibility for the work.
The Board reviewed all your academic information against the appropriate APEGA engineering syllabus, the course by course deficiency assessment identified by the examiners, and your total acceptable experience. It was determined from the evaluation that in order for you to be eligible for registration, you need to complete the minimum net assessment examination(s) and experience outlined above. The Board allows two years from the date of this letter to attempt at least one of the above examinations. If no progress is made on the examination(s) requirement above within two years, your application will be automatically withdrawn. If your application is withdrawn, you will be required to submit a new application with relevant documentation and fees. APEGA does not transfer information from withdrawn applications to new ones for privacy reasons.
