It doesn't make that place even remotely optimal for work. 1. The waiting times before hire are excrutiatingly long. 2. The criteria of hire are ambiguos. A lot of times they only hire specific nationalities. 3. The work ethics consists of juicing the worker to the last bit. You will actually work your ass off for a minimum wage, with little to no prospects.

Unlike with a lot of face-to-face jobs, where you can actually know whether they're gonna call back or not just by looking at the manager's language.

You always got options. A wide range of jobs only require you to stop by, talk to a manager for a minute and get hired instantaneously. McDonald's has zero reciprocal feedback. You sign up for their dumbass HR system and take your chances from there. It's a hit or miss with no direct feedback.

I totally get that. If you get lucky, you might get on board with them quick. However, I'm too fucking lazy and proud to trade my own time with 'em. They make it top priority to transform you into a biological burger flipping machine. I hate that.
