Job Description: Project Coordinator (Construction)
Overview:
The Project Coordinator will assist the Project Manager in all construction phases, including schedule, material and equipment management, procurement, and documentation. This role requires an organized professional who can manage multiple tasks and ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Material Management:
Source construction materials and coordinate delivery schedules.
Ensure timely availability of materials and resolve any supply chain issues.
Project Reporting & Coordination:
Assist in scheduling construction activities and project timelines.
Prepare and update monthly status reports to track project progress, costs, and timelines.
Site Coordination:
Maintain daily communication with Site Superintendents and other stakeholders to ensure smooth site operations.
Record construction activities, monitor site progress, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Documentation Management:
Organize and maintain project records, including change orders, contracts, and drawings.
Ensure all project documents are up-to-date and properly filed.
Coordinate the submission of required paperwork and reports to clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience: 1-3 years in construction or related fields, with experience in siding, cladding, or similar types of construction projects preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
Core Competencies:
Strong communication skills—able to clearly interact with internal teams, contractors, and clients.
Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Detail-oriented and able to manage the administrative tasks involved in project coordination.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to travel throughout the Lower Mainland with a personal vehicle.
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic construction environment.
